A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. GEORGE RICARDO R. GACULA II TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) IN BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD) REGION IV-A DULY REPRESENTED BY MS. LUCIA C. ALMEDA FOR THE SOCIAL AMELIORATION PROGRAM INTENDED FOR THE VULNERABLE SECTORS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, AND OTHER PROGRAMS RELATED TO COVID-19 AUGMENTATION RESPONSE FROM THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT
WHEREAS, the Social Amelioration Program for the indigent and vulnerable sectors is a government assistance through the inter-agencies Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, series of 2020;
WHEREAS, the DSWD as the lead agency for social protection is mandated to work towards the achievement of improved capacity and opportunities of the poor, vulnerable and disadvantage individuals, families, and communities to enable them to improved their quality of life and has to work with every Local Government Unit in addressing such needs more specific on concerns due to the effect of Pandemic COVID-19;
WHEREAS, to be able to ensure the success in the implementation of the Social Amelioration Program for the constituents of the locality, the DSWD Region IV- A represented by the Regional Director Ms. Lucia C. Almeda and the Local Chief Executive of the Municipality of Taytay Hon. George Ricardo R. Gacula II had to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement;
WHEREAS, due to the urgency of the matter the Sangguniang Bayan Members thereby decided to legislate an authority for this purpose;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 11th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, hereby AUTHORIZES THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. GEORGE RICARDO R. GACULA II TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) IN BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD) REGION IV-A DULY REPRESENTED BY MS. LUCIA C. ALMEDA FOR THE SOCIAL AMELIORATION PROGRAM INTENDED FOR THE VULNERABLE SECTORS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, AND OTHER PROGRAMS RELATED TO COVID-19 AUGMENTATION RESPONSE FROM THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT.
RESOLVED FUTHER, that copy of the said Memorandum of Agreement shall form part of this resolution and be an attachment to completely explain the details of the purpose.
RESOLVED FUTHERMORE, to send copy to the Office of DSWD-Region IV and all concerned agencies for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 7th day of April, 2020, 1:15 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
